The Mission of XSR is to motivate and encourage people to read the Bible. The first reading plan that will be offered is the Bible in 90 days. In the future there will be other plans available including the traditional Bible in a Year plan.
#XSR90 How long does it take to read through the entire Bible? Would you guess just 90 days? The Bible in 90 Days is a Bible reading plan created by Ted Cooper in 2002, designed to walk you through the Bible over the course of just three months. That works out to 12 pages of reading each day—a commitment, but certainly manageable, and one that’s well worth making. This reading plan is provided by Bible Gateway, using the YouVersion Bible app and website at Bible.com.

Starts June 1, 2014
Ends August 31, 2014
PRINTABLE SCHEDULE
A weekly schedule will also be available as well as a quick reference link. Why 90 days? The plan is 90 days because most people feel they can achieve doing something for 90 days. From day one, the end is in sight. 90 days is more doable and easier to commit to finish than a year. What version of the Bible do I have to use? Use whatever version you are most comfortable reading. Can I listen instead of read? You must read each of the words of the Bible for yourself. This is not a listening plan. However, listening to the Bible as you read along in a great option and it is encouraged to maintain your reading pace.
How to succeed. Make it a daily priority. Pray before reading. Don’t judge your response to what you are reading. Just keep reading! Write down your questions as you read rather than take time to investigate them. Carry your Bible with you everywhere. Try reading at various times for various lengths of time. What if I fall behind? Ask for God’s help.
Seek a brother or sister in Christ to read with together or to hold each other accountable. Set a goal for getting caught up. Figure out how to meet that goal. Find additional reading time whenever possible. Even 10 minute increments help. You are on a mission, and it’s not necessarily an easy one. Watch your progress. Make sure you are committed. Don’t skip ahead and assume you’ll go back and read what you missed. Don’t listen instead of read. Don’t read without a plan. Don’t set yourself up for failure. Don’t give up - If you finish behind schedule you still finish.
